Convenient boyfriend, inconvenient attraction!
Mita Ramphul can’t face another family set-up with a ‘nice
young man’. What she needs is to divert her family’s attention… so introducing
the devastatingly handsome Tanay Devkumar as her new boyfriend is a stroke of
brilliance! Until Tanay’s blazing hot kisses threaten to shatter her plans for
the perfect pretend date…
He might drive her crazy, yet spending time with Tanay sparks
a passion Mita never knew she had. It’s only meant to be temporary, but when
Tanay looks at her with that smouldering fire in his ebony eyes, Mita can’t
help but surrender to the temptation of her fake boyfriend…!
Sneak Peek1:
Mita struggled anew to free her hands, furious that Tanay had
brought up his ridiculous accusations again.
Tanay quelled her struggle with sublime ease. He lifted her
arms so they rested on either side of her head. The move brought his face
inches from hers. For a moment an angry pair of eyes dueled with a cruelly
determined pair. Mita’s heart thundered in her ribcage. For the tiniest moment
she felt fear. He could hurt her if he wished.
But he didn’t; he broke eye contact, his gaze drawn to her
mouth where a pink tongue had emerged to moisten lips that were suddenly dry.
As his eyes followed the movement of her tongue, Mita felt her breath catch. He
was very close, this man who lit her fuse every time they met.
Her moment of fear was replaced by something else, an
indefinable something that made the atmosphere electric. She felt exquisitely sensitive;
to the feel of her breasts crushed against hard muscle; to his minty breath,
warm on her face; the masculine scent of his skin; his ebony eyes, hooded now,
but speculative a second ago.
Sneak Peek2:
Time slowed as Tanay explored in right earnest, giving in to
the lure of Mita’s tempting mouth. He had had a hard time, the last half hour,
sitting with her sexy body in his arms and not being able to do anything about
it.
It was payback time now. His tongue made inroads that
demanded response, and Mita felt confused. She should be furious but she felt
drugged and helplessly needy. She didn’t want it to end, and apparently neither
did Tanay.
He was hypnotised by the fragrance of her skin, the softness
of her lips, the velvet of her tongue. His hands itched to explore her satiny
skin, to dispense with all clothing and really explore.
But he couldn’t. This wasn’t about a woman, or about sex.
This was a case; a job. This was Mita, and he had to keep a clear head because
she would consume him if he let her.
Reet Singh is a doctor and has published before - in medical
journals - so even before she wrote her first work of fiction, she had experience
of writing for an unseen audience.
Her first book was written for children. ‘The Zaken
Takeover’, for middle-graders, has been co-authored with her son, and is
available on Amazon, for Kindle.
'Scorched by His Fire' is her first published piece of
romantic fiction. When Mills and Boon® India announced the Passions Contests looking
for aspiring romance writers from India, she decided to participate. When she
won last year, there was no looking back. 'Scorched by His Fire' was released
in February 2014, and the Kindle edition released later, in June. Book two from
Mills and Boon® India is at the editing stage and should be available sometime
later this year.
